Battleships symbolize both the beginning and the end of Word War II for the United States. USS Arizona will always be identified with America's losses at Pearl Harbor, and Missouri, in addition to her other services, was the site of the Japanese surrender and the end of the Second World War. Here, on 21 June, Missouri joins her symbolic sister at Battleship Row, where she will become a museum.
