These photos appear on page 391 of Russia's Arms Catalog, Volume VI, Missiles and Space Technology. Along with chapters on Strategic Launch Systems, Antiballistic Missiles, Manned Spacecraft, Heavy Launch Vehicles and so on, is a chapter titled "Nuclear and Thermonuclear Weapons!" Aieeeeee! "Catalog" may not be the correct translation from Russian, since I don't see any 800 numbers. "Compendium" may be more accurate. The nuclear weapons shown in the book, about a dozen, are on display at the Chelyabinsk-70 museum. This weapon is described as "Nuclear Bomb of Super-sonic Aircraft," and the inset shows a Su-24 Fencer, although the weapon is not shown mounted on the aircraft. The text says the weapon weighs 450 kg, and is designed for dive, level, and toss bombing. Dive bombing with a nuclear weapon?? Yow! Chris Chant, in Air War Europe, described a nuclear weapon that was carried on the rear centerline hardpoint of a Su-24 Fencer. If this is it, the yield MAY be 350 kt. Data is sketchy at best on Soviet and Russian nuclear weapons, but at least we know what some of them look like. Presumably, if this thing's in a museum, there are more modern nuclear weapons available for the Su-24 and the other Russian aircraft. By the way, if you want a set of Russia's Arms Catalog, it's $250 - per volume.
