Command at Sea

Fear God and Dreadnought, the Trilogy's WW I game, is in final development, along with High Seas Fleet, the accompanying scenario booklet. The game was demonstrated at Cold Wars '98 and a large scenario went very smoothly.

Following FG&DN, La Guerre Naval, by Mike Harris will be published for Cold Wars in 1999. This single booklet will provide the statistics for the French navy in WW II, covering ships, aircraft, and all related systems. The scenarios will cover the few historical encounters and several hypothetical battles with the French navy. Mike Harris speaks and reads French and has put together an excellent package that brings credit to this neglected force.

Harpoon 4

Sea of Dragons is out and available for $46.00. White Ensign, by Andy Doty, is in layout. The single booklet will cover the Royal and Commonwealth navies from 1960 to the present day, with statistics for both ships, aircraft, weapons and sensors. The next project after White Ensign will be High Tide. This supplement will give us the 1980s, with scenarios, orders of battle, commentary, and specs on everything from that era not included in the basic game. Given the information that's available on the Soviets, we intend to make this a statement on the strategies of these two navies at the peak of their strength in the 20th Century. It will include a scenario/history booklet and a data annex booklet and two sheets of counters.

Miniatures

GHQ expects to release three miniatures over the summer: The carrier Kaga, USS Portland (CA-33), and the cruiser HMS Dorsetshire. Regal Miniatures, who carries the Figurehead line of 1/6000 ships, reports that the latest release will be American WW I ships. Mr. Darrel Sheldon also says he has acquired the Howard Hues line of paints, and is interested in producing a line of naval colors [ed: Yahoo!]. Mr. Sheldon is asking anyone with color data to contact him at Regal Miniatures, 1116 Broadway, Polk City, IA 50226.
