Command at Sea

Biplanes and Battleships is on track for a Summer release. The annexes are almose done, and Dave Arneson is scripting some really big battles. The Annex includes such "modern" vessals as the US Brooklyn class CLs, but also vessals like armored cruiser New York whose design was considerod innovative because it dispensed with sails! Many vessals from the Spanish-American and Russo-Japanese Wars took part in the earlier scenarios.

Supermarina II: John Gresham and Mike Markowitz recently made a trip to the Historical Research Agency at Maxwell Air Force Base near Montgomay, Alabama. They found a wealth of information on the Mediterranean war, induding copies of the declassificd Royal Navy Battle Records for the Harpoon and Pedestal convoys. These were only two of many documents found, the data from which is going right into SII.

Harpoon Naval Review is also on track for this Summer. Scenarios will include Operation Cyclone, involving thc UK and India, Dire Straits, a Baltic scenario based on a popular book, a scenario generator for encounters betweenn Greece and Turkey, an Indonesian confrontation set in the 1960s, several articles, and over fifty ship and aircraft forms.
