Beau Sabreurs:

French Hussar Regiments
Campaign Duties (1792-1815)

Chart designed by Dana Lombardy and David L. McElhannon
Special Thanks to: John Brewster, Jean Lochet,
George Nafziger, Brent Nosworthy, and Fred Schnied

Their campaigns during the Revolution, Consulate, and Empire

The chart below is the culmination of many man-hours of effort and is, to the best of our knowledge, the first to show all of the French hussar regiments of the Napoleonic era by theater of operations and year. Note that some regiments are difficult to place and that those dates are indicated by a "?." Where squadrons were split off, the chart shows the most intense area of operation.

NOTE: The years 1801-1804 show the regiments in garrison, with little activity.
