Welcome to the world of Napoleon. This is a very special issue, created in direct response to our learning in July that a PBS program about Napoleon would air in November. The preview copy of this show was impressive (see review page 6), and we prepared this introductory guide for what we hope will be the many people who have joined the ranks of those who are interested in Napoleon and his era. We designed this issue with numerous new charts and tables, presenting well known facts and information with a fresh perspective for our readers who are already very familiar with this incredible period of history.
