Napoleon running for Mayor of Ajaccio in Corsica

BBC News Online reports that Charles Napoleon, great-greatgrandson of Napoleon Bonaparte's brother Jerme, aims to become the next mayor of Ajaccio in Corsica. Ajaccio is where Napoleon Bonaparte was born in 1769, "an appropriate birthplace for Charles's own political adventure" according to the BBC. Charles, 50, works as a property and town planning consultant for a small Paris firm, and has had a home on Corsica for several years. Charles is unsure whether his famous name will help or hinder him as an independent in next March's municipal elections.
