Weider Bequest to Napoleonic Studies

Ben Weider, co-author of the The Murder of Napoleon, donated $1.2 million to the Institute on Napoleon and the French Revolution at Florida State University. Dr. Donald Horward, Director of the Institute, plans to use the money, along with the matching grant of $950,000 by the state of Florida, to enhance and expand the program of the Institute, which includes the largest collection of books on the French Revolution and Napoleonic era in the United States.

New Napoleonic Society of Georgia (Russia)

This past June the Napoleonic Society of Georgia (Russia) was founded to promote the study of the Napoleonic era "in accordance with proper academic standards. " Current projects include cooperative efforts with the 1812 Project and other groups. Visit www.members.tripod.com/amik78/napoleon.htm
