ORV BANASIK'S 20mm ACW FLAGS - I've recently been developing an interest in 20mm ACW figures because of the influx of this scale from the UK over the last year or so. Several years ago, when I was out in Seattle, Washington, for their convention, Dick Larsen ran an ACW game using 20mm and they really looked good. Dick mounted them three to a fender washer.

Anyway, Orv sent me eight 20mm ACW flag sheets (Prairie Products, 3165 26th Ave., Marion, Iowa 52302) from the 34 he has in his listing. The sheets are $4.50 and have anywhere from five to twenty-four flags per sheet.

No. 1 has 26 US/CSA Battle Flags; No. 4 features 21 Confederate Battle Flags; #13 has 13 Virginia Regimental flags; #14 has 15 S.C. Reg't flags; #26 has 12 1st Confederate National Flags w/various star pattems; #31 has 12 PA infantry/cavalry flags; #32 has the five "Orphan Brigade" flags from the Atlanta Campaign; while #34 has eight "Irish Brigade" Antietam flags.

Orv also offers 10 Napoleonic flag sets; four ECW; one Texas Revolution; two War of 1812; six AWI; two Mexican-American War; and five ship sets. They come in 6mm ($2.25); 10mm ($3.25); 15mm ($4.50); and 25mm ($4.50) in addition to 20mm.

I've frequently mentioned how Orv's flags grace a large number of my wargames units. I've even used his Napoleonic British flags for my Sikh/NWF projects and am very pleased. The color is outstanding as is the detail. They are easy to work out: you cut them out; apply white glue after folding them as you wish them; put them on the flag staff; compress the two sides of the flag while squeezing out the excess glue; and then bend the flag so that it looks as though it is flying in the wind. Easily done. If you don't get the two sides together just right, move them around or else get out a pair of small scissors and trim the edges. Outstanding value! Drop Orv an SASE for a listing.

HUDSON & ALLEN STUDIO BARBED WIRE - Recently while at THE EMPEROR'S HEADQUARTERS here in Chicago, I picked up a pack of barber wire made by Hudson & Allen (PO Box 82341, Rochester. MI 48307). It is not cheap 36" costs $8.95, however, it is very realistic, indeed. On the back of the pack, they state, "To create a coiled barbed wire barrier, try winding the barbed wire around a wooden dowel, then carefully slide the coil off, gently stretching the coil out to the desired appearance, and attach it to your diorama." It does not require painting and they state it can be glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue?). Quality product!

FIELD OF BATTLE 20MM ACW - FIELD OF BATTLE, Unit 12 Well Lane Business Centre, Well Lane,Batley, WF17 5HF (01924477295) sent three sample 20mm ACW figures for mention within this column. Thus far there are 13 packs of figures: seven infantry in sackcoat shellcoat, shirt, and shirtsleeves, and six command figures including NCO, two officers, two standard bearers, and one drummer. Figures are .33 pence including separate head. There are eight separate head to choose from.

Foreign postage is 40% while UK is 10%. I find that the figures are well done and attractive; I had difficulty getting the heads to fit just right without having to trim them. I'm afraid that I just don't like separate heads/arms/whatever for wargames figures. I know that it offers a wider variety of pose, however, nowadays, and I suppose I am spoiled, there are so many companies making a wide range of quality figures without having to go to the separate body parts concept. However, it is a matter of taste, no doubt, as the figures are attractive.

FREI KORPS 15 WARGAMING ITEMS- I have always found FREI KORPS 15, 25 Princetown Road, Bangor, Co. Down, BT20 3TA, Northern Ireland, a pleasure to work with. Cameron has consistently located those "hard-to-find" wargaming items for me and although it might take awhile, he always comes through (on some very difficult to find items, I might add!).

My latest project for Cameron was to locate Hovels 15mm Southern European buildings (suitable for Spain, Italy, etc) for me. I've been looking for them for some time in preparation for a 15mm Napoleonic Peninsular War project and hadn't been able to find the whole set.

There are 12 such buildings in the set ranging from small houses, three storey houses; tavem, shops, village fountain, windmill, wayside cross, and church w/walls. The entire set is 18 pounds and includes everything mentioned above except the fountain (1.25 pds), windmill (5.10 pds), church (5.90 pds), and cross (.50 pds).

These, as you would expect from Hovels, are beautiful little models and will look great painted. The windmill comes with metal sail arms. The buildings have a lot of character!

Also submitted for review were 15mm figures featuring FREI KORPS 15 new "sofler" metal. Wargamers will be aware of the fact that although FREI KORPS 15 always had an extensive listing of quality figures, they featured a rather "brittle" metal which lent itself to breakage, a fact which could be quite frustrating at times.

This is Cameron's attempt to resolve the difficulty and it would appear as though he has been successful. Submitted for mention were 15mm SYW figures. FSY23 French Line Cavalry Command features an officer w/sword held high, bugler, and standard bearer. I just love FREI KORPS 15 cavalry figures. They are cast in one piece and the detail/animation is just great! HSY10 Hanovarian Line Cavalry Command has the same mix except the horses are at rest. HSY11 Hanovarian Colonels has three differently posed mounted colonels.

This is something else I like about FREI KORPS 15. They not only make mounted officers and mounted personalities for many periods. they also have different poses within the sets! FSY25 French mounted Colonels has a mounted Colonel with two standing officers and standing horses. FSY10 French Line Infantry in Tricorne has four advancing French cavalry troopers with sword held by shoulder. Finally FSY20 Gendarme Command has officer, bugler and standard at rest.

A standard pack has eight foot/four mounted for S3.25 including aimmail postage(!), while command packs have five foot/three mounted for $2.00. Personality packs are $3.00 and feature three figures. Prices are very reasonable especially in view of the fact that they include aimmail postage! Every time I look at FREI KORPS 15 15mm SYW line, l get the urge to do this wonderful period in 15mm, it is just that outstanding.

I also obtained a large number of 15mm ECW cavalry troopers, command, and personalities, all of which I am very pleased with. They fit in very well with ESSEX 15mm ECW sizewise as well as quality. The personality figures are outstanding! I also picked up a number of limbers & horses & driver (CM10 ($3.25) for my ECW guns as well as ECW guns (ORD23 - 6pdr saker; ORD24 - 12pdr culverin; both at $2.50 each; ORD25 24pdr Demi-cannon at $3.25; ORD27 - 42pdr cannon at $3.75) for my project and am very pleased with both the price and the quality.

However, let me tell you about my latest find from FREI KORPS 15. I'd had difficulty for years finding wire to be used as flag staffs and lances and took a chance with Cameron's wire. Costing 20 pence per 12" length, I purchased about twenty pieces and was extremely pleased. It is easy to cut with snipping pliers and thin enough so as to fit 25mm and 15mm figures, although I have only used them on 25mm thus far. I always replace all lead staffs with wire in 25mm. Very glad to locate a good source for wire. Outstanding lines!

By David Barnes - EDGEHILL 1642 bv Peter Young - The Windrush Press, ISBN 0.900075.34.1 in the Great Battles Series. A reprint of this well know book - yes, it's by Brigadier Peter Young DOS, MC, MA, FSA, FR Hist.S. Commander of 3 Commando, who died in 1988. I missed this the first time out and I'm glad I got it for my birthday this year.

Full of contemporary accounts, you get not only the campaign, but notes on organization of the armies, what they wore, what they fought with, and how much, or little, training the soldiers had. An excellent book by an expert on English Civil warfare and an able field commander himself in WWII.

By David Barnes - KING GEORGE'S ARMY 1740-93 (1) Infantry - by Stuart Reid and Paul Chappel, Osprey Military, Men at Arms Series, ISBN 1.85532.515.2. No 285. First published in 1995, this is the usual 48 pages packed with information and drawings. Number (2) ISBN 1.85532.564.0 No 289 has yet more information especially on auxiliaries such as militia. volunteers, marines and troops of the East India Co. All with a strong Scots flavor.

No (3) ISBN 1.85532.565.9 No 292 covers cavalry, artillery. engineers and artificers. Stuart Reid has done some of his own drawings from sources he's discovered and they are very good. Paul Chappell's colour pages are excellent. If you are an 18th Century "buff' you have to have these books.

JACOBITE 15MM NAPOLEONICS FROM SIMTAC SIMTAC, Inc., 15-G Colton Rd., East Lyme, CT 06333 (860-739-3609) sent along samples of new releases in their Prussian Napoloenic range. They report they had some Prussians when they purchased JACOBITE eight years ago, however, they are now filling in the missing holes and redoing some of the older models. Their intention is to redo all of the older Napoleonics lines over the next five years. PN29 Guard Cossack, PN33 Reser Infantry, and PN34 Reserve Infantry commands were sent for mention. Detail is good with horses being especially good. The Cossack are cast on lance complete with pennant. No word as to prices but these are quality figures. They report they are adding foot figures, the Mongols and Sung Chinese as well siege equipment.

"IT FIGURES" 20M WWII LINE FROM WARGAMES Johnson Hood of WARGAMES, Box 278, 40 East, Triadelphia WV 26059-0278 was kind enough to send six packs of 20mm WWII figures from the new UK manufacturer "FIGURES". He did not, however, include listing or prices. One pack features German ski troops (w/o skis); there is a standing officer point w/right arm dressed a heavy winter coat, a kneeling fig motioning, standing firing, and advancing with SMG.

The three enlisted men wear LUFT 2/3/4 has three Luttwaffe figures caps; standing firing, throwing grenade, and advancing w/SMG at right side. SS firing kneeling & standing, and runni w/rifle. G-1 81mm mortar has a two piece mortar and three man crew. Two figures kneeling and one is running with a box rounds. USGI has three US infantry, one w/SMG advancing, advancing w/rifle, a standing firing. Lastly REF3 has two refugees- a small child with a teddy bear and a wom w/suitcase. It might have something to do w the fact that I am a father, however, I don't like wargames figures of children; it reminds me that children are frequent victims of war and I find that distasteful.

That aside, these are very nice figures. I would be quite excited about getting some if I was still doing 20mm WWII.

WARGAMING FOUNDRY 25MM Wargames Foundry, The Foundry, Mount St New Basford. Nottingham. NG7 7HX, UK, has released Canaanites/Syrian Mounted Scouts BC254-Scout in robes, short sword in belt, separate shield (BSS8 or 11) and BC255 Scout in Kilt w/bow; horses 11 or 12 should be used. Also released was BC E7 Rameses The Great set (11.50 pounds) consisting of Rameses II, his charioteer "Menna", Chariot & two horses, Chariot runner/sandal - bearer w/bow(w/separate arm), Lion & lion handler. A fanatically detailed set! What a diorama this would make, even if you weren't interested in the period! Highly recommended!

They've also added considerably to their new 25mm ACW range. They've added 18 infantry in greatcoat and kepi including a mounted officer w/walking horse: two foot officers; two stand bearers (standing w/ separate flag staff & advancing); two drummers (as above); and 11 enlisted men poses encompassing standing w/ordered arms (w/8 head variants - different head variants!); marching/advancing right shoulder shift (again, 8 head variants); standing firing, loading ramming down; kneeling; sentry in "gun blanket" standing; marching or advancing right shoulder shift in 'gun blanket'; falling wounded; wounded, and dead. Foot figures are .70 pence while horses are .85 pence. Outstanding figures from a rapidly expanding and quality range!

WODENSFELD MINIATURES 20mm ACW More 20mm ACW figures! Wodensfeld Miniatures, 6, Swallowfields Drive, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS12 5UQ UK. has released a new line of ACW 20mm figures. Thus far, they have only 11 packs available, however, their projected list is quite extensive. Each infantry pack contains 10 assorted figures and the pack submitted for mention in MWAN is RSS2 Infantry Advancing at right shoulder shift in shell jacket, gaiters. and hat (3.00 pounds/pack of 10).

John Weaver of Woldesfeld is a very friendly fellow and reports the figures are compatible with Airfix, Revell and Esci plastic figures. I would add that they would be very compatible with the Musket Miniatures 20mm ACW line having much the same design/quality. They are in light equipment and should p~unt up quickly. I like the right shoulder shift pose for the ACW and if I had a choice, I would have all my ACW figures in that pose. Worth taking a look at!

KENNINGTON MINIATURES 20MM ACW - Kennington Miniatures, 1A Kempsford Road, Kennington, London, SKI INU, UK (0171-735-7787) offers an extensive 20mm ACW line. They have grouped their infantry according to uniform: jacket/kept; frockcoat/kepi; jacket/hat; frockcoat/hat; Iron Brigade; Texas Brigade; Zouaves in Fez/kepi; and Louisiana Tigers. Most of the groups feature two officers, drummer, standard bearer, and enlisted men in march attack, loading, charging, advancing, firing and at ready.

Many of the enlisted men poses feature more than one pose. They also offer artillery crews in kept/hat firing/loading; infantry in greatcoat and kept, and greatcoat and furcap (never saw these before); cavalry in kept/hat; dismounted cavalry; and Virginia Cavalry.

Foot figures .35 pence; horses .50 pence; artillery crews of four are 1.25 pence. I find these figures to be outstanding as to pose, animation, and quality. In addition, they offer 20mm lines for the Napoleonic period; and Rome and the Barbarians as well a smaller selection from the Boxer Rebellion. Again, the figures are very well done. Highly recommended!

WARGAME ACCESSORIES METAL MOVEMENT STANDS - Jeff Lista, long-time MWANer offers metal movement stands in a wide variety of sizes (42 different sizes) at $4.00 per pack of 24 to 50 dependent upon the size of the stand. I recently ordered a large number of stands for my 25mm and 15mm collections and was very pleased.

I needed some 'special order' stands cut to size for 25mm limbers and Jeff was kind enough to custom cut them for me. He also offers casualty rings and casualty caps (50 for $4.00) which are handy for marking casualties and I picked up some of these as well.

In the future, all of my collections will be going on metal movement stands; even my 25mm WWII skirmish figures. When I think of all the plastic stands I've cut out on my own over the years, I would much rather have gone this route to begin with! Highly recommended!

1ST CORPS 25MM WWII FROM BROOKHURST HOBBIES Brookhurst Hobbies, 12188 Brookhurst St., Garden Grove, CA 92840 (714-636-3580) carries the excellent 25mm WWII 1st Corps figures and I ordered some a few weeks ago. I called in my order on February 28th and received it on March 6th. I might add that this is not unusual for Brookhurst - outstanding mail order company!

Down to business! First the Russians: RUS11 Heavy MG moving (4 figures & MG at S8.98); RUS12 Heavy MG firing (as above); RUS 15 anti-tank rifle moving (2 figures & anti-tank rifle for $4.50); RUS16 anti-tank rifle firing (as above); and RUS17 Female Snipers (one kneeling firing; one advancing, and one casualty).

Germans included: GIN10 Infantry w/panzerfaust (one advancing w/panzerfaust on shoulder w/ separate right arm w/rifle; one advancing w/panzerfaust facing toward ground; and one kneeling); GIN11 Infantry snipers (same mix as Russian snipers); GIN12 Infantry w/hand thrown weapons (all in helmets; throwing grenade and other two w/special type grenade weapons; one has a separate rifle arm).

Brand new are German SS Infantry with five packs; advancing, standing, running, firing and NCO's. Excellent poses/quality/animation ar d very highly recommended! I have about 40 of Jeff Lista's metal stands and they do look great You can't go wrong with these figures and I find myself getting more letters from MWANer stating that they are very excite about 25mm WWII lines being mad available!

THE WHITES OF THEIR EYES: THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION - The Canadian Wargamers Group, Box 172' Station "M", Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2 2L7 has released Bruce McFarlane's newest effort ($20) which also contains a complet boardgame on Arnold's attack on Quebec. This is a professionally done 68-page book which shares the same rules system a HABITANTS & HIGHLANDERS and ROCKETS RED GLARE (this newest effort does not include the rules; you will need to purchase one of the two listed above for the rules) and as usual, Bruce covers the period very thoroughly starting with Causes, Strategy and Tactics; Uniform and Flag information Solo Game for Lexington & Concord as we as ten other scenarios including Bunker Hill, Long Island, Trenton, Brandywine, Germantown, Saratoga, Monmouth, Cowpens, Guilford's Courthouse, and Yorktown. In addition, Bruce discusses the historical aspect of the periods 1776-78 and 1779-83. The boardgame "The Citadel of Quebec" has color map and colored counters which need to be cut out. The rules are only six pages and this includes a "Cheat Sheet" for the rules. A Campaign game, "Washington and Howe" encompasses four pages with an additional two pages of charts for the game. Bruce also includes a section on using other games as campaign system for "Whites of their Eyes" Another good effort, Bruce!

DROP ZONE - GREAT BATTLES OF WWII - VOLUME 2 - This Canadian Wargamer's Group (see address above) also released another one of Bruce's rule sets, Drop Zone Vol. 2. This is an 72 page effort.

I'm going to let Bruce describe it for you. "Those that have played Canadians in Europe will immediately notice the difference, in texture, between the setpiece co-ordinated attack-defend actions and the tenuous, nail-biting to-and-fro of an airborne operation. For those who have not played the other scenarios in this series, be prepared for a new gaming experience. Your games will not simulate a 40 minute fight for the local farmhouse or crossroads. Instead you will have to plan a multi-day operation to land parachute brigades or even divisions behind enemy lines and then relieve them. Great Battles puts you in the general's chair where deployment and reinforcements artillery and air support are more important than the penetrating power of a shell or the armour thickness of a turret."

The battalion is the basic unit in these rules and 5mm is the scale of figures. Bruce provides his usual thorough approach in discussing the development of airborne operations; planning; and organization & weapons. The miniatures rules cover ten pages and there is another page defining vehicles and guns as well as two pages of "special rules" for Drop Zone scenarios.

There is an historical account of Crete and ten scenarios for airborne operations. Bruce also offers a "Grand Campaign" scenario being Operation Market Garden. As usual, a very fine effort from Bruce; our congratulations to you, Sir!

CASTLES. COGS & CHEVAUCHEES RULESHistoric Enterprises Co., PO Box 1534, Rochester, NY 14603 has released "Castles, Cogs & Chevauchees: Three Rules Sets Covering Sieges, Navies and Campaigns in Skirmish Level Combat and is designed for use with, and expands their other rules set "Knights & Knaves". This is a 32-page professionally done effort. The first section (two pages) deals with "Cogs" and provides rules for shipboard combat. Chevauchee, rules for a skirmish campaign, takes up 14 pages and is quite interesting. The goal is to produce "a game of economics used to generate skirmishes and sieges. The campaign rules are designed for two players or multiple players."

They go on to say "Chevauchee reflects the economics, societal structure, values and morrays of Medieval communities." Scale is 1:1. How to set up campaigns is discussed as is determination of victory. There is a well written section on resources and resource allocation and information of "setting up skirmishes" with good information on generating terrain.

The third set of rules is "Castle", which covers rules for sieges and covers rules for the various aspects of a siege in good detail. Included in the rules set are two nicely done colored maps. Cost is $9.95 (NY residents add 8%). A nicely done rules set with valuable information!

OLD GLORY 25MM SYW LineI recently purchased a number of OLD GLORY 25mm SYW figure packs ($21.00 for 30 foot/10 horse). First of all, I wanted more heavy cavalry so I got a pack of Austrian Dragoons (SYWA10) troopers and command (SYWA9). The command pack has four officers, three standard bearers and three drummers; enough for three regiments of Dragoons. There were, I think, two different poses of troopers.

I also got packs of Austrian Cuirassiers: SYWA11 Cuirassier Command and SYWA12 Troopers; again the same type of mix. I was a little surprised to find a fair amount of flash between the rear legs of the horses which I had a very difficult time removing. I finally gave up on decided I would rather have the flash than to be missing a finger. I do like the figures very much and at $2.10 per horse/rider, I'm willing to put up with some flash.

The Austrian Grenzers (SYWA20) are just beautiful little toys. They are very animated - with little flash - and I think there were about eight to ten different poses in the 30 figures in the pack. I am anxious to see them painted up. Standing and kneeling firing, loading, running, etc., beautiful stuff.

I'd been looking forward to adding some of the personality figures available from OLD GLORY in this line so I picked up SYWA16 Austrian Generals and SYWP15 Prussian Generals -- Personalities. The name of the personality is on the sprue connecting the figures legs, however, I hate to admit that my eyes are so bad that I couldn't make out all of them. The Austrian pack has Loudon, Brown, Charles Daun, Knene, and two others, while the Prussian pack has, of course. Frederick, Keith, Leopold, Zieten, and two others. Several of these mounted figures are excellent figures.

My plan is to mount three General officers on a base to be used as an "Army Command" stand; two to a stand for 'Wing Commanders"; while Brigade Commanders will be mounted one figure to a stand. I also obtained a pack of German Musketeers (SYWA2) in a march attack position with a number of different poses amongst the 30 castings. An MWANer, whose name escapes me now - sorry - sent me a pack of German Musketeer Command (SYWA1) and I wanted to start building some units. The command figures are very nice. I did however, replace the flag staffs with piano wire.

In the last few months, I've added lots of OLD GLORY SYW figures to my collection and am very impressed with them! I haven't painted any of the cavalry so I can't speak as to how they paint up, but the gun crews painted up easily; both Austrians and Prussians. My next goal is to obtain some large (43 figures on seven stands instead of my usual line/grenadier organization of 37 figures on six stands) Hungarian Musketeer units. l'd also like to get some Austrian Grenadiers, Prussian cavalry, and see OLD GLORY produce some light infantry for the Prussians. An excellent line from a quality company! Highly recommended!

PASS OF THE NORTH 15MM ANCIENTS - It's been awhile since we've seen anything from Jeff Caruso PASS OF THE NORTH, 1060 Esplanada, Paso, TX 79932 (915-581-3282). Jeff released six packs of 15mm Ancie ntsincluding Gallic and Roman cavalry; Marian Legionaries; Baleric Slingers, Spanish Auxilia, and Roman Command ($8 for 24 foot/nine mounted). The figures are very detailed and come with separate shields and weapons for the most part. The cavalry has a cast on lance but most of the figures will require you to glue them on. It would appear to be a fairly standard-15mm figure. Well done figures! What really caught my interest in the package from were two cactus' - I have never seen more realistic terrain in any shape or form. The larger of the two is about 2 1/4" high and has magnetic base and terrained. The smaller is just over 1/2" high. They look like it; they feel like it; and I am highly impressed. I don't know the cost - maybe you can let us know Jeff- but if you are into any period requiring a cactus, you will not find more real models anywhere - you can count on it. Good job, Jeff!

BATTLE GROUP 25mm WWII FIGURES - BATTLE GROUP FIGURES, 17 Rotunda Road Eastbourne, BN23 6LE, UK (01323 7354 sent their entire 25mm German WWII line I was very excited to receive them! There are two groups - Germans and Panzergrenadiers and Trevor states the Panzergrenadiers also be used as ordinary line infantry. Waffen SS are wearing camouflage-cloth smocks and helmet. First of all, the Panzergrenadiers' Officers are running w/MP40 - crouching low; Radio Opeator w/slung helmet on belt talking; NCO running w/MP40. Then there are three figures walking with rifle pointed down/forward/up - all are in full equipment. The firing figures are very good, especially the figure firing MP40 from hip w/slung panzerfaust! The other two are firing rifles while kneeling/standing. In thc next group, there is a flamethrower advancing; figure w/slung rifle throwing stick grenade; kneeling w/panzerfaust and kneeling firing rifle grenade.

There are sets of MG42 figures including running (two figures; one w/MG42 and the loader carrying two boxes of ammo w/extra ammo slung over his shoulders - a great set! ).

My personal favorite is firing the MG42 over the loader's shoulder PLATOON 20 did a set like this years ago and I always liked it! Beautiful set, no doubt! The last MG42 is firing while prone and this set has separate heads for both firer and loader. Then we have 50mm mortar advancing - two figures; each with an ammo box and one has the mortar strapped to his back.

They also have the 50mm mortar set prone firing; one figure is holding the mortar while the loader is preparing a shell. Outstanding line! The German line comes in plain helmet, cloth covered helmet, or field cap and you can have your choice. Please note that this does not mean you get separate heads; they are just cast the way you request them.

The German line features the same figure selection I just went through with the Panzergrenadiers so I won't go through that again. I really like the different headgear selection as it will make it look much more realistic on the tabletop! Some of the figures are in shirtsleeves which give a nice look as well. I've mentioned in previous issues that the BATTLE GROUP FIGURES are perfectly compatible with 1ST CORPS, the only difference being that 1ST CORPS figures appear to be a little more robust; however, once mounted and painted, I can't tell the difference. Trevor also reports that the American infantry advancing are being worked on currently and may be ready by the end of March. He states they will all have fixed heads being two types of plain helmet and two types of netted helmets. Personally, I would think 25mm would be perfect for WWII Pacific skirmish games and plan to collect this period as well!

With the FUMAN vehicle kits - available from BROOKHURST HOBBES, to mention an MWAN advertiser, you'll be able to have some very good-looking actions on your tabletop! I should mention that someone sent me a full color small catalog of the FUMAN 1/48th models. They are referred to as "FROG-FUMAN" KITS and look just great!

I'll list the models that they state are available. Anti tank gun IV Nashorn; Pz.Jag Elefant Sd.Kfz184; King Tiger Sd.Kfz.182; KV 1; T34/76; Mkll Valentine; Tiger I Ausf.E. Sd.Kfz.181; Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer; Panther Ausf. G.Sd.Kfz. 171; Willys Jeep; PKW Kl Kubelwagen type K2; 155mm Cannon Long Tome; M4A3 76mm Sherman; Jagtiger; Schwimmwagen Type K2s; 105mm Pz.H18/2 Kfz. 124 Wespe; Schwerer Panzerspahwagen Sd.Kfz 232; Jagdpanther; Panzerkampfwagen II F/G; 88mm Flak 18; Mittlerer 8 ton Sd.Kfz Kmm.11; Panzerkampfwagen III-M; Hanomag Sd.Kfz 251/1; and Panzerkampfwagen IV Aausf. H Sd.Kfz 161/2. A fairly good selection! I'd like to obtain a few more models aside from the Tiger I's and the Mittlerer 8-ton Sd.Kfz7 Kmm 11 that I currently have.

Can I use this space to suggest to you that you consider writing a piece on your favorite figure line/rules set, etc. They don't have to be new releases in order for the information to be of interest to other MWANers. How many times have you read somewhere of a line which has been released for some time and realized that you didn't even know about it? Or you had no idea how extensive, or exactly what it consisted of? If you can type it or put it on a disk, it would make my life easier, but I'll accept any type of submission for this column. Hope to hear from you soon regarding this matter!
