The Project Game

Siege

by John Butler

I missed the last issue by being a little slow and lazy! So I hope this makes it in time. I have been meaning to give the exact mounting sizes (with a little prodding from Hal) and a few other particulars. As I stated before, the mounting system is from the WRG 6th Edition Ancient Rules and since this is going to be a siege, I think most of the figures should be mounted on single bases. The knights and men-at-arms should be single but the rabble and archers can be in two's to four's if you prefer the standard WRG mounting system.

It is really your choice. Nobody needs any mounted troops, except maybe for a few Muslims at bay. The basing is as follows for individual figures, they may be increased if necessary; FRONTAGES: Super heavy, heavy and medium infantry 15m; Heavy and extra heavy cavalry 20m; Light Infantry and Cavalry 30mm; throwing engines and towers 80m. DEPTHS: Super Heavy, Heavy and Medium Infantry 20mm; all Cavalry 40mm; light Infantry 30mm; throwing engines and towers 60mm. The walls and the town are being put together now and I hope we can get something together very soon.
