(Editor's Note: Sometime ago in MWAN, Bill Protz mentioned that he thought it would be a good idea if midwest wargamers got together, as did PW REVIEW readers did for Origins, and put together a group period to host a large game at conventions. I asked for volunteers to put this together and, in Bill's words, a Man on Horseback has come forth.) I have been corresponding with Nick Klepper from Madison, Wisconsin, who has just started to game with historical figures, being a hopeful convert from the fantasy miniature group and would like to be involved with the project gone. We have come to an agreement on a seige during Medieval times, since his figures are now mostly medieval fantasy types (i.e. J.R.R. Tolkien) and I have a few knights from around the First Crusade time frame and they could, together, serve as a base to work from. I feel that this would give the Mid-West their own game instead of copying the East's seige of the Alamo. So who would like to get involved and go in this direction? (Editor's Note: I encourage anyone interested to contact either of these two Men on Horseback. Please let me know how things are going, John and Nick; you can count on me for some figures. We could use more information as to etc, fellows.)
