1) From Greg Novak, Champaign, Illinois: "On behalf of WINTER WAR XIII, the membership of the CENTRAL ILLINOIS TABLETOP WARRIERS (CITW), and myself as the Miniatures co-ordinator, I would like to publicly thank the following companies for their aid and support of this year's convention: ASP IMPORTS, ALLIANCE MINIATURES, FALCON MINIATURES, FREI KORPS 15, LYZARD'S GRIN, PLATOON 20, RAFM, and STONE MOUNTAIN. Dealing with us on short notice -- which was my fault, these companies came through and showed their support of our hobby. They in turn deserve our support." 2) From John Bulter of The Legionary: I have just received a note that the famous Knotel studies on uniforms that were made between 1890 and 1914 covering the uniforms of the different European Nations from 1600 to 1914 are now being reprinted in a limited edition of 500 copies by Uwe Lacina & Ulf-J Friese of Falkenbek 1, D2104, Hamburg 92, West Germany. Publication will be in parts, probably two volumes a year until all 16 volumes are printed. They are all color plates in cased volumes with an English & French translation on the reverse. Pre-subscription price per volume is 380DM before March 31st and 45ODM after. That's about $155.00 US and $185.00. I dont know yet if I will be carrying them because they have not gotten back to me yet. 3) Terry Wise of Athena Books, 34 Imperial Crescent, Town Moor, Doncaster, South Yorkshire DN2 5BU, England, sent me a listing (#25) of his used books. Very interestinc titles and a wide range. 4) Orv Banasik writes: "I would like to extend an open invitation to yourself and your readers that any time in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area to stop by for a game. We game in 25mm -- ACW, Napoloenics & Medieval. Games are the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month. Our games are usually grand tactical using quick/decisive rules.
