My friend, Vic, and I couldn't stop talking about what a great time we had at a recent convention. We came up with this "Top 10" list on the way home. 1 . Your arms feel 2 inches longer because the weight of the lead miniatures in the bags you carried back to your room from the dealer area. 2. Your new nickname is "Lucky" after one hot run of dice rolls in a game. Thank God, the tattoo parlor was closed. 3. Your buddy tells you that he doesn't have enough room on the ride home for you and all the lead / terrain you picked up. One will have to stay. No problem, you'll take the bus home. (Really happened at a Historicon). 4. Your wife / girlfriend tells you how happy she is you went to the game convention, because your always look refreshed when you get home. Then tells you to go to more of those "toy soldier things". 5. By Sunday you've rolled dice in so many games you can't remember what you played in Friday morning. 6. After seeing the breathtaking terrain on so many tables, you're sure that you also can reproduce the entire Sharpsburg battlefield in 15mm by next convention if you work on it 4 to 6 hours a day for the next 3 months. 7. You got 4 hours of sleep on the last night of the convention and it feels like you "slept in". 8. So many of friends shared a room at the Con that it only cost you $10 bucks a night when the bill was split up. 9. You and your friends talk about all the laughs, games and good times you had all the way home. The six-hour trip feels like 30 minutes. 10. Your wife / girlfriend can't stop talking about how much fun she had in the game she played and wants to know if we can come back to the convention again next year.
