BACCUS 6MM, 29 Highcliffe Drive, Sheffield, SI1 7LT, UK (Phone: 0114-2302761, Email baccus@aol.com; Website: www.baccus6mm.com) produces what may well be the finest 6mm line in the business. Peter Berry has recently changed to resin for his buildings and this is a real plus. DW7 Small church (1.65 pds) is a nicely detailed, one-piece "Norman-type" church with large tower - a fine model for 6mm! What I was very surprised at were the trees - Peter offers TR1 Poplar trees (5/.60 pence), TR2 Small trees (5/.90 p) and TR3 Tall trees (3/.90 p), these are metal and are very good! My favorite is the tall tree pack - great looking trees - all of the trees have metal bases. I would think they would paint up very well with a black undercoating and then brushing on shades of green. Excellent wargames product for 6mm! From the equipment line, he offers EQU4 tents - one large, three medium and at small for 2.60 pds. These are done in metal with the small tents being two to a base. EQU5 is a camp site with tables (12), civilians (eight strips of four each), and fire pits (3.20 pds)EQU3 pack mules gives you 40 mules for 2.15 pds, they come four to a base one behind the other. Very well detailed with heavy loads on their backs. EQU1 is a wagon with four-horse team (4/2.60 pds) which comes with separate wheels. The driver is cast on to the wagon and the horses are cast two to a sprue one behind the other for easy placement on a base. EQU2 Tumbril, a 2-wheeled cart, sells four for 1.95 pds; the cart comes with separate wheels and two-mule team as well as four walking handlers. EQU6 Military site with gabions and cannon balls (3.30) has 13 gabion sections (4 gabions to a section) and four stacks of cannon balls. Lastly, DW1 through 5 are houses; four with 2-stories (1.40 pd), one with one-story (.90 p); you can request the type of roof (hipped, half-hipped, Dutch or step gable, or saddle back). Very functional buildings! Peter offers American Civil War, Ancients, English Civil War, Early Eighteenth Century, and Napoleonics at present and his son has done a line of 6mm Fantasy. Very good quality at inexpensive prices. He also offer army packs for of the above periods. I think you'd be very surprised, and pleased, to see the quality Peter gets on this scale. Highly recommended! Check out his website for some great pictures of his 6mm figures, buildings, and terrain!
