The corcept and implementation of this project stems from the ability of broadcasting video and audio over the internet. Simply put, it enables two groups of miniature wargamers in different locations to play the same miniature wargame. The setup requires both locations to have the same miniature terrain layout, common rules and measuring system. This can be achieved by the use of Game Mapper and numbered hexagon map and tabletop. Players not involved with either group can also take part in the game just by viewing the webpage and issuing orders to units they control via the chat function. Successful simulation testing lead to the refinement of the rules Fix Bayonets! for the horse and musket era, as well as Company Command and the rules Legions & Lions with the use of 6" hexagon grids both on computer map and tabletop layout. In fact, the computer enables those without miniatures to play with representative markers or boardgame-like chits, printed by the player and available from the various sites providing artwork which I call "Print an Army." Viewed from the top and digitized, graphic pictures of infantry, cavalry, artillery, tanks and vehicles can be obtained, printed and spray glued onto thick stands made of wood, balsa wood or plastic sheeting- essentially whatever a player can obtain. For turreted vehicles a separate graphic needs to be included for a turret and this can be placed on top, secured with sticky putty or a map pin.
