4. Notes

    a) Radios are in all squads and AFVs.
    b) Tanks are M4A3 or M4A1 or M4A2 or M4A4 Sherman. By 1945 at least one platoon per battalion can be M4A1(76mm).
    c) Infantry have M9A1 rifle A/T grenades and/or WP grenades.
    d) 37mm M6, 75mm M3 have APCBC as standard. 37mm can have 1 load of canister. 76mm can have HVAP from Oct'44. 105mm howitzers and M8 HMC have 1 load of HEAT.
    e) Any CHQ Sherman can be fitted with dozer blade.
    f) The division has 3 armoured battalions and 3 armoured infantry battalions shared between 3 Combat Command HQs.
    g) Can use American Corps and Army support from List A3.
    h) This is the division as commanded by General Leclerc. Up to one platoon per battalion can be desert veterans at BT2. Also at least one Infantry Battalion can replace M3 halftracks with lorries.
    i) M10 Wolverine may have improvised roof armour from late 1944.
