4. Notes

a) Radios are in all tanks, armoured cars, Carrier PHQ and other PHQ.
b) Infantry squads have No.74 or No.75 A/T grenades. By October 1943 most Boys were replaced by PIATs.
c) The 5th Armoured Division has the 5th Armoured Brigade of three Armoured Regiments (and one Motor Battalion normally assigned out on a permanent basis); the 11th Infantry Brigade of three Infantry Battalions, plus one divisional Armoured Recce Regiment.
d) Artillery OP can be in Ram OP tanks. Humber III Rear Link has dummy guns.
e) In December 1943 the Division left all equipment in Britain and moved to Italy, taking over worn out equipment left by the British 7th Armoured Division.
f) 6pdr has APCBC with one load of APCR from October 1943. 75mm has AP. 37mm has APCBC.
