4. Notes


a) Radios are in all tanks and armoured cars, Carrier PHQs, and other CHQs.
b) Infantry squads have No.74 or Hawkins 75 A/T grenades. A few PIATs may be available for training from July 1943, m ost units having dropped the Boys A/T rifle by this time.
c) 2pdr, 37mm, 6pdr, 75mm have APCBC and HE. 17pdr has APCBC only.
d) Artillery OP can be in truck, Carrier, Daimler S/C, Auster AOP, turretless Marmon- Herrington, or Stuart III tank.
e) The 7th Armoured Division has the 22nd Armoured Brigade of the 1st RTR, 5th RTR, 4th County of London Yeomanry Armoured Regiments and 1st Battalion Rifle Brigade Motor Battalion; and the 131st Queens Motorised Brigade of the 1st/5th, 1st/6th, 1st/7th Infantry battalions.
f) The Division was resting and reorganising in Tunisia during June-August 1943.
g) In September-December 1943 the Division deployed in Italy, the only difference being the replacement of Boys with PIATs.
h) During September 27th to early October the 23rd Armoured Brigade and the 69th Medium Artillery Regiment(16x 5.5" guns) were attached.
