4. Notes

    a) Radios are in all AFV and other PHQ.
    b) Infantry squads have Hawkins A/T grenades.
    c) A/C is Daimler II or Humber III or Humber IV or rarely AEC II or rarely turretless Stuart. Staghound AA not used in Italy. In Far East A/C is Humber IV only.
    d) 6pdr has APDS and HE. 17pdr has APCBC and HE, and APDS from Oct'44. 2pdr and 37mm M6 have APCBC and HE. One Daimler II per platoon can be armed with Squeezebore firing APCNR. In Far East any 37mm can have canister as standard.
    e) M3 Halftracks do not have .50". M3 LAD is unarmed.
    f) The division has 3 infantry brigades each of 3 battalions.
    g) From Aug'44 the infantry battalion carrier platoon can replace up to 6 Carriers with Wasp IIc flamethrowers and still retain infantry elements.
    h) All units can be motorised if desired, 2 lorries per platoon, 1 truck per support section or HQ squad.
    i) Divisional OP can be in M3A1 White S/C, Daimler S/C or Carrier.
