4. Notes

a) Radios are in all tanks and armoured cars, Carrier PHQs, and other PHQs.
b) Infantry squads have No.75 A/T grenades.
c) From late 1943 the division was used as a reinforcement pool HQ for the Normandy invasion, and was disbanded by the end of July 1944. The division has the 28th Armoured Brigade of the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards, 1st Fife & Forfar Yeomanry, 15th/19th Hussars Armoured Regiments and 8th KRRC Motor Battalion; the 7th Infantry Brigade of 2nd Bttn/6th East Surrey Regiment, 6th Bttn Royal Sussex Motorised Battalions; and the 1st Royal Gloucestershire Hussars Armoured Recce Regiment at division.
d) OP Tanks are Cavalier OP or Cromwell OP or Grant OP.
e) In 1944 the 15/19th Hussars Armoured Regiment was converted to a DD Regiment, and the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards Armoured Regiment was equipped with Shermans.
f) Two OP per Artillery Regiment are in OP Tanks, rest are in trucks or Daimler S/ C.
g) Shermans do not have .50" AAHMG. M3 H/T has .30" M1919A4 Browning MG.
h) Most Cromwells are Mk.IV with 75mm, some are Mk.III with 6pdr.
i) It is possible that the 8th KRRC Motor Battalion has infantry in M3 halftracks or M3A1 White Scout Cars.
