4. Notes

a) Radios are in all tanks and armoured cars, and other PHQs.
b) Infantry squads may have Hawkins 75 A/T grenades.
c) The 7th Armoured Division has the 131st Queens Infantry Brigade of the 1st/5th, 1st/6th, 1st/7th Infantry Battalions; the 8th Armoured Brigade of the 3rd RTR, Staffs Yeomanry and Sherwood Rangers Armoured Regiments and the 1st Battalion Buffs Motor Battalion; and at division there is the 11th Hussars Armoured Car Regiment, replaced by 12th Lancers from 25th January 1943.
d) This list shows the division's approximate strength from 25th November 1942 to the 15th February 1943, crossing from Cyrenaica to Tripoli in Libya.
e) Artillery OP is in Universal Carrier, truck, Daimler Scout Car , or Stuart III tank.
f) Issue of Deacons is not certain, may be replaced by towed equivalent.
g) The 8th Armoured Brigade replaced the usual 22nd Brigade, which had returned to Egypt to refit during this period. The 8th Brigade left on 17th February 1943 to re-equip.
h) 4th Light Armoured Brigade was attached from mid December 1942 (see separate list).
