4. Notes

a) Radios are in all tanks and armoured cars, and other PHQs.
b) Infantry squads may have Hawkins 75 A/T grenades. 6pdr, 2pdr & 37mm have APC with small amounts of APCBC, 25pdr has AP.
c) The 7th Armoured Division has the 4th Light Armoured Brigade of 4th/8th Hussars, Royal Scots Greys Armoured Regiments, 2nd Derbyshire Yeomanry Armoured Car Regiment, 1st KRRC Motor Battalion; the 131st Queens Infantry Brigade attached from 44th Division of the 1st/5th, 1st/6th, 1st/7th Infantry Battalions; the 22nd Armoured Brigade of the attached 44th Recce Carrier Regiment, 1st RTR, 5th RTR, 4th County of London Yeomanry Armoured Regiments and the 1st Battalion Rifle Brigade Motor Battalion. At division there is the 11th Hussars Armoured Car Regiment.
d) Tank strengths are provisional. Most are worn out battle damaged tanks that have been repaired. Some other units would be understrength as well.
e) The division saw continuous limited action after the battle of Alam Halfa, this list applying from about 10th September 1942.
f) Artillery OP is in Universal Carrier, truck, turretless Marmon-Herrington, or Stuart III tank.
g) It is possible that the Royal Horse Artillery regiments have 25pdr Bishop SP guns.
h) The 65th Anti-Tank Regiment may have had two Batteries with Deacons.
