5. Notes

a) Radios are in all squads and AFV. Infantry have IINF. OP Teams have TI, laser rangerfinders, radar, and GPS. CHQs have TI and GPS. GPMG have 600m range IINF sights. Milan-2 has TI sights.
b) Infantry have 100x LAW80 per Battalion, equivalent to 10 per platoon.
c) The 1st Armoured Division has the 4th, 7th and 20th Armoured Brigades, each of 2 Armoured Regiments and 2 Armoured Infantry Battalions.
d) ARV is Challenger ACRV.
e) Each Brigade normally has 1 Engineer Squadron, 1 Armoured Recce Squadron, 1 AS90 Regiments and 1 Javelin Battery attached down from divisional support.
f) The Division is part of the NATO ARRC Rapid Reaction Corps. If so used then the Danish Rapid Reaction Brigade (List DN10M) would be attached.
g) From 1997 one Armoured Regiment can have Challenger 2. All Regiments will have Challenger 2 eventually.
h) British forces in Germany amount to the 1st Armoured Division and Corps support described above. In wartime forces would be mobilised from Britain to Germany, including the 3rd Mechanised Division (List B64M), SAS Squadrons, TA units (List B58M) and air support.
i) From 1996 every infantryman has 2 rifle grenades for his SA80.
