3. Notesa) Radios are in all squads, helicopters and naval craft . Infantry have IINF. CHQs, and OP Teams have TI. Bttn HQ and OP Teams may have GPS after 1992. b) Infantry may have M72A1 disposable LAW. c) The Brigade has 4 Ghurka Battalions, reduced to 3 in 1991, reduced to 2 in 1995. A British Infantry Battalion (as List B53M) is usually attached. d) From 1997 the brigade ceases to exist, British Ghurka forces amounting to one Battalion in Brunei and one more on rotation in other theatres. e) From 1999 many British infantry battalions have a Ghurka platoon or even a full company to make up for recruitment shortfalls.
