5. Notes

a) Radios are in all AFV and PHQs.
b) Infantry squads have no known anti-tank grenades or disposable LAW. With opponents/organisers agreement, can add 1x Chinese built RPG-2 or RPG-7 per squad or platoon.
c) Assault Rifle (AR) is G-3 or SLR, LMG is Bren.
d) There is one Armoured Brigade of one of each type of Armoured Regiment. There are 13 Infantry Brigades each of two Infantry Battalions, shared between six Divisional HQs.
e) Corps support contains all known combat aircraft in use in 1991.
f) 122mm Type 54 is Chinese copy of Soviet M38 howitzer. 76mm Type 54 is Chinese copy of the Soviet 76mm M42 (ZIS-3) anti-tank gun.
g) Infantry Brigade anti-tank guns are (D%): 01-16%: 6pdr, 17-82%: 76mm M42, 83%+: none.
h) Divisional artillery is (D%): 01-16%: 122mm Type 54; 17-50%: 105mm M56 pack howitzer; 51-100%: 105mm M101 field guns.
i) Only one Tank Squadron has Type 59 tanks.
j) Details are provisional, and apply up to the late 1990s. After about 1998 a larger influx of Chinese weapons allowed increased operational units.
