      3. Notes

        a) Radios are in CHQs and above.
        b) Infantry have 1x SKS Carbine per sqd for rifle grenades. From 1986 can have 1-3x RPG-18 per squad, and up to 2 snipers rifles per platoon.
        c) The three Fronts carried out guerrilla operations against the SADF and SWATF, whilst the Central Front HQ with three partially completed brigades fought UNITA in Angola. The brigades were to have 3 battalions.
        d) If fighting a SADF/SWATF "External" operation in Angola then can also use units from­FAPLA forces (Lists AF8M, AF9M, and AF10M), and Cuban forces (List LA8M).
        e) Engineers have Russian type truck towed minelayers.
