4. Notes

a) Radios are in all squads and AFV.
b) Infantry have 3-10 M72A2 disposable LAW per squad. SAW is M249.
c) Artillery OP can be in Jeep or divisional OV-10D Bronco. During this period most of the 105mm howitzers and 155mm M114 were replaced by 155mm M198, and the SP artillery battalions were introduced.
d) The three Marine Divisions each have 3 Regiments each of 3 battalions, plus one of each divisional battalion, the LAV battalion being introduced from 1985.
e) During this period the 82mm SMAW gradually replaced Dragon ATGW within Marine Companies, the Dragons moving to the Battalion Support Company.
f) The 40mm Mk19 is not available until 1988.
