4. Notes

a) Radios are in all squads and AFV. AR is M16A2, SAW is M249.
b) Infantry have 3x AT-4 or M72A3 disposable LAW per squad.
c) Artillery OP can be in divisional OH-58 or Hummer or M981 FISTV.
d) All Bttn HQs have GPS.
e) In 1988 tanks are 36% M1, 14% MlPI, 50% M1A1. By 1990 tanks are 60% M1A1, 40% M1 or MlPI. By 1991 tanks are 27% M1A1HA, 53% M1A1, 20% MlPI.
f) Armoured and.Cavalry Divisions have 6 Tank and 4 Mechanised Battalions. Mechanised Divisions have 4 Tank and-6 Mechanised Battalions or 5 of each. All have 3 Brigade HQs and 1 Combat Aviation Brigade HQ.
g) Mixed Battalion batlegroups are formed, but are not mixed below company level.
h) The 197th Mechanised Brigade is an elite training school unit, consisting of 1 Tank and 2 Mech Battalions.
i) Each Tank Company may have up to 2 dozers and 1 mineplough assigned.
j) From 1990 the infantry platoons of Mechanised Battalions become: 4x M2 Bradley 4(5 man) AR sqds, 4 SAW 4 Dragon, 4 or 8x 40mm M203.
