HMGS/PSW is going to be electing new officers in October and no one is stepping forward to assume the posts. Steve Verdoliva has stated that he won't be running for office again and we doubt he could be persuaded otherwise. Mark Parker would like to step down, but we hope he will stay on as our President! We don't think he would abandon us, so keep patting him on the back! If there anyone out there looking to move into a leadership position for our hobby, then now is your time!! WE NEED YOU! The July minicon was well attended and was a great time. However, attendance seemed to be significantly lower when compared to the January minicon. There was some discussion about holding the second minicon in any month other than July, since it is a big vacation month for families. A lot of folks haven't renewed their memberhip in HMGS-PSW, and that list includes a lot of the "old guard." So take the time to renew your membership and keep the chapter running full steam. Several folks will be receiving their last newsletter this issue .... so please renew! Once again, there was some discussion about getting some speakers for our conventions and maybe looking for some different venues. These will be good topics for the next convention, so come with ideas and proposals organized in your minds! By the way, the next Strategicon convention will be over the Labor Day weekend (starting Friday, August 31st, at LAX Westin Hotel!!).
