This is the last newsletter before our fall convention - Fall Campaigns. For those who don't know HMGS/PSW puts on two historical conventions each year. This allows members to showcase their clubs and gain additional club members, or gives participants a chance to experiment with different rule sets or periods in miniatures, without investing in the rules or figures.

Definitely a short newsletter this month. Our fearless leader Steve Verdoliva, takes his leave, and leaves us with his final thoughts, also inside, meet the candidates running for board positions 1995 election with the ballet.

"Killer Katanas" Brian Bradford and Robert Fyvie's innovative miniature rules for Samurai Warfare are reviewed in this issue, with some additional suggestions for scenarios. Chuck Duggie is back with his regular column on things nautical, and I am continuing to hope that others out there will follow his lead. I need columns on airwar, landwar and points between.

Next newsletter we will back to normal size and have articles on skirmishing in the American Civil War, fighting the Crimean War, how to be a polite gamer and I'll continue the series on the Punic War. See you.
