Here we are with another convention behind us. Considering the problems we had with the hotel this time around our chapter did not do too badly. See Steve's article for more information on what happened. Needless to say the board is looking for another site for the Fall convention to be held next November. Anyone who has information on possible sites contact Steve and let him know what you have. Steve has also told me that National is considering the creation of a National Newsletter that would take the place of all the other chapters' current newsletters. My thoughts on this are that if it is done right it could be a good thing for all The sketch inf^raation is that it would be in a format (or at least quality) of the Courier magazine. The national board is supposed to discuss this at the next national meeting in Nashville, so if you have any consents on this let me or any of the board members know. It seems that a number of us are planning to go to Origins this July at San Jose. If anyone has information on hotels in the area of the convention and rates let me know and I will get it out in the next newsletter. Also if anyone is interested in doing any carpooling to get up there I will post that information as well . I would like to take this time out to reiterate that if you are not receiving your newsletter on a regular basis i.e. in order 14, 15, 16 and so on, let me know. Since switching to the bulk rate mailings there seems to be sore problems with everyone getting the newsletter, this even for those that we know we have good address for. Also a reminder that if you change your address let me or Chris Vivo know. One other note; the next Game day looks like it will be at Brookhurst hobbies in Garden Grove. Anyone interested in running something contact Steve. As yet I don't believe there is a fixed date on it (late July or August?). Finally please note that if you did not attend the last convention there is a form for you to fill out and send in to the chapter to rejoin if you want to stay as a member of the chapter for the next year. The cost is $15.00 (see the form for further details! One last consent, I would like to apologize on the lateness of this issue. It was due to a number of factors, the main one being that I went back to work after being out of work for 6 glorious (painting filled!) months. Unfortunately my new job is in Irvine (and coupled with my living in Fontana this is a nice little drive daily!) Hopefully everyone will get this issue in time to renew your membership by the end of May!
