Conventions

by Bill Heizer

Well the Spring Convention is almost upon us. Hark Parker has given me the preliminary list of games. They are; DBA tourney (sponsored by Something Unusual), WRG 7th tourney , Houserules Napoleonics Aspern-Essling 1809, Marshal's Baton Napoleonics , Tank Charts, DB SYW, WW II navel, Circus Maximus, ACV battle of Ressca (Drum Barracks), WRG 5th ancients, WW I battle of La Chatau (Fair Valley Wargasers), Tactica Siege Medieval , Tactics Ancients , WW II air, Modern Air, and Red Baron WW I air 1/72 scale. Mark and Steve assure me that there will be sore than this as the usual amount of last minute add ons.

The Game Day at the Last Grenadier saw two games played. Hill put on his Tactics Siege game (the one with the really great looking castle!) and I ran a game of Euro-Fury. The next Game Day should be at Brookhurst but I am still awaiting confirmation from Steve on that, for some time in April. Since our last convention in November I have been busy, attending three conventions in the Southern California area along with our Pres. Steve. We were at the Battlecon in San Diego in January , Armor Con in San Berdo. in December, and the February Stratigicon at the LA Hyatt this past weekend,

I would like to take this time now to ask those of you who change addresses to let us know. Since we now are doing the newsletter by bulk mail the Post Office will not return issues that they cannot deliver. I used to be able to keep up with change of addresses by getting returned issues, but now that does not happen, So if you change addresses let me know! Also if you get it sometimes and not others let me know. We seem to be having a lot of issues being lost in the mail with the bulk nailing, and I would like to get a better idea of exactly how bad the problem is.

I would also like to plug Origns 94 at San Jose this July (agian!). The information I have gotten fro& Steve is that there are a number of us going up there to put on games. The chariot race, Seven Years war, Franco Prussian, are the ones that I know about. For ore Info on Origins (if you want to run a game) call Dave Merrick at (408) 899 9450. Finaly in the convention report last issue I left out ientioning that Art Sanchez won the Napoleon's Battle tounament run by Nick Cascone - Sorry for the slip up and congratulations!
