Battle of Britain

Computer Game Review

Reviewed by Vickie Peggs

Thanks for the recent games you sent for review in Lone Warrior. I tried, or attempted to, play the Battle of Britain and after a mission when I went to see the results I was faced with:

    File does not exist for reading (6c05=/Program Files\Rowan Software\Battle Of Britain\artwork\dial 800\title.bmp

This kicked me out of the program and I had to reboot it. There was also trouble when attempting the campaign game in that the cursor kept being drawn to the quit button, and I didn’t want to!

I would be grateful if you could send me instructions on how this problem can be solved (and I have tried re-installing it) or please send me a working copy, because it looks like it is a good game.

The Typing of the Dead

Novel concept in teaching people to touch type. Only had one go so far and was impressed - talk about under pressure! Will look into it in more depth later but the idea of combining a role-playing game, as a very useful teaching aid is highly commendable. In my initial attempt I was too busy trying to hit the correct keys to really worry about the fact some gruesome looking zombies were attacking me. More later.
