1. I am trying to assemble the info for an ELMUNDOMYTHICO campaign set in the late 1880s or the early 1900s. 2. It is a Victorian Science Victorian/Edwardian Science Fiction or Alternate History or Whatever y'all want to call it type of campaign, but, any info I turn up from other players might also be of interest to players with interests in other periods outside of the one I am using, as well as to me, hence my asking all of the members of these lists for input. 3. I have a map of the main country and the neighbouring countries roughed out, using Tony Bath's campaign system, and the intro story line roughed out, too. 4. Puerto Verde is in the final stages of a bloody revolution, and foreign intervention to protect foreign citizens/property is imminent, as the situation is rapidly going to hell in a hand basket. Will the arrival of a foreign warship at Puerto Verde (incidentally, the ship is on a routine patrol cruise and courtesy visit and unaware of the present situation!) touch off a war between the foreigners, the rebels and the government forces? 5. I have a short list of intro scenarios and am in need of more ideas too.
b. Defend the Foreign Newspaper from Rioters. c. Defend the lives/property of foreign nationals living in and around the capital city (Puerto Verde). d. Rescue foreign missionaries from outlying mission stations from rebels/bandits/looters e. Board and seize the two (2) former USN Civil War era or later built government controlled monitors stationed at Puerto Verde to prevent them from interfering with the necessary intervention. f. Failing e. above, sink same! g. Capture and/or destroy or disarm the harbour defences to prevent them from interfering with the foreign intervention or evacuation (an old Spanish fort and an old Spanish battery that control the harbour approach, the anchorage, and the docks). h. Rescue any/all foreign nationals taken hostage by rebels, government, or criminals. i. Defend or evacuate all foreign citizens and dependents from the embassy in Puerto Verde. j. Any ideas from y'all will be muchly appreciated. From any gaming period that y'all play. 6. Also, as is usual in my campaigns, there is a certain amount of roleplaying for the commanders of both /all sides involved for their personas. And I always develop the personas of all NPC governors, military, naval, police officers and rebel leaders, important politicians and others as needed using the old and faithful Tony Bath system. 7. Now I too would like to see how some one else does theirs, as one can never have too much info on how others map, determine resources, population and taxes, government type, military /naval forces, and politics, domestic and foreign.
