From Rich Folks, this issue I want to share with you some news of the hobby. Provided below are extracts from a letter I received from David Clayton , who has kept Hinton Hunt figures available to the wargaming community. "As you know, I've been manufacturing the 20/25mm Hinton Hunt Wargames Figures for well over ten years now. We have always operated as a "cottage" or part-time industry, mostly producing our Wargames Figures in order to keep this miniatures line alive. We have many loyal, long-time customers, both here in the U.S. and in the U.K., who have inspired us to keep on producing. We have done so and with little financial reward. It has been a labor of love for those of us involved with the Hinton Hunt's." "We have never operated as an overtly commercial business entity, preferring instead, to stay in the background of this hobby, secure in our own little "niche". Over the years, we have been approached by many individuals seeking to secure the manufacturing rights to the Hinton Hunt's, in their respective countries, outside of the U.S. At this time, it appears likely that within the year we will license producers in both the U.K. and Germany. We are also talking to an Eastern European distributor, who hopes to make our Hinton Hunt's available to the Slavic-speaking peoples. Next month, our new website will debut, courtesy of an old friend and longtime supporter, Alistair Paterson." I want to wish David the best success in making Hinton Hunt figures more readily available. As my longtime associates know, I have focused my wargame attention on small 25's napoleonics and Hinton Hunt figures are well represented in my armies. I continue to receive these figures and in fact I am painting up some Russian artillerists and guns right now.
