Regiment – The Military Heritage Collection. Editor: Stuart Asquith. Published by Nexus. Enquiries 01858 435344. Stuart was kind enough to send me a copy of Issue 13, 'The Corps of Royal Engineers, 1066 – 1996', with a Sapper from my old Squadron on the front. It is packed with so much information that, although it can only touch on the many topics that Sappers are involved in, it opens the door to them. Sorry, about that, had to stop to have another good read. Contact them direct for listing of Regiments that have been covered. Highly recommended.

"Wartime News" "Wartime News" is quite unique publication features the personal reminiscences of the Second World War; written by the veterans themselves and those left behind to keep the home fires burning. Now entering its fifth year of publication, "Wartime News" has enjoyed tremendous success and is a popular friend to those of the wartime generation around the world. Each issue leads on the news story of the period, as shown in this edition, which features the Battle of the River Plate at the beginning of WWII in 1939. [Good read, see 132 for wargame details of it.] You will find a great variety of features in "Wartime News" which, in the last year, have covered such stories as 'Five Days of Hell in Cassino', 'Station X - Revisited', 'Memoirs from Malaya', 'Slapton Sands', and 'The Sinking of U-528'. We would be delighted to send a sample copy to anyone expressing interest. Contact The Wartime Company, 4th Floor, Studland House, 12 Christchurch Rd, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH11 3NA.
