Welcome to the bug free year 2000! I wonder just how many fortunes were made from 'fixing' that which it appears did not need fixing in the first place! Well the SWA blunders happily on and really all we need is a bit more publicity and a few more members with ideas they wish to share with the rest of us and this Editor will be a happy teddy. Keep doing very well in the Magweb ratings, with our regular fourth spot. Hopefully the distribution will have gone smoothly; otherwise you will not be reading this, now Graham Empson has taken on the job. All members are being asked to complete and return to Kris Constable the Updated Membership proforma, so we can bring our records in line with the new century. You will guess, but there again maybe not, that I have been somewhat influenced by the Chariot Wars supplement to WHAB by looking at this edition's cover. I hope to have the time to really do a review for them by the next edition, having read quite a few in WI and Slingshot, but if you are into Ancient wargaming then for value for money this 'high standard setting' supplement is a must. If any member has the skill which David Barnes displayed then please get in touch with me. Also needed is that stuff off the backburners again guys and gals. Contributions are very welcome on any subject dealing with solo wargaming, although I do admit, occasionally the odd not-quite-solo article does get published. Please remember all the Committee are volunteers and what they do for the SWA eats into their own gaming time, so please help them out by submitting articles on your favourite period, mechanisms or just let us know what you are getting up to in your gaming world.
