Historical Orders of Battle: I have picked a few battles to give a flavour of how historical battles could be re-created using these rules:

The Battle of Lansdown 5 July 1643

Royalists: Sir Ralph Hopton

Right wing: Prince Maurice.

    2 regiments C class cavalry
    1 regiment D class cavalry
    + 2 bases dragoons

Centre: Sir Bevil Grenville.

    5 regiments B class infantry

Left wing: Sir Ralph Hopton(?)

    2 regiments D class cavalry
    +2 bases dragoons

Parliamentarians: Sir William Waller

Right wing: (unknown)

    1 regiment C class infantry

    1 regiment C class cavalry

    4 bases detached musketeers

Centre: Sir W Waller

    1 regiment C class infantry
    2 regiments D class infantry
    4 bases dragoons
    3 medium guns

Left wing: (unknown)

    1 regiment Cclass infantry
    1 regiment C class cavalry
    4 bases detached musketeers

Reserve:

    2 regiments C class cavalry
    2 regiments D class cavalry

(All cavalry regiments 3 bases strong, all infantry regiments 1 pike, 2 shot. Detached muskets and dragoons all in single rank).

Battle of Aberdeen 13 September 1644

Government Army: Lord Balfour of Burleigh

Right wing: Alexander Keith and Forbes of Craigievar.

    2 regiments D class cavalry (each 2 bases)
    1 base D class cavalry (Gordon)

Centre: Balfour

    2 regiments D class infantry
    3 regiments E class infantry
    (All 1 base pike, 2 bases shot)
    2 light guns

Right wing: Lord Crichton

Reserve: Forbes.

Royalist Army: Marquis of Montrose

The Battle of Naseby 14 June 1645

Royalist Army: King Charles I

Right wing: Prince Rupert

    First line:
      7 bases A class cavalry (5 regiments)

    Second line: (Northampton)

      2 regiments C class cavalry (each 3 bases)

Centre:

    3 Brigades (Astley's, Bard's and Lisle's) each 2 regiments C class infantry, each 1 pike base, 2 shot.
    2 light guns

Left wing: Sir Marmaduke Langdale.

    2 regiments C class cavalry, each 3 bases

Reserve: King Charles.

    1 regiment B class foot (Lifeguard & Rupert's Foot)
    Howard's Brigade. 4 bases C class cavalry.
    Lifeguard & Newark Horse. 1 base A class cavalry
    3 bases C class cavalry.

Parliamentarian Army: Sir Thomas Fairfax.

Right wing. Oliver Cromwell.
