Editorial

by Kenn Hart

Greetings,

Thanks for the letters of support for the new Committee members and those with the famous wargamers "All Seeing Eye" will have noticed that David Barnes has been elected SWA Chairman. Jeff Bayton has offered his services as SWA Auditor for which I sincerely thank him. Now, no pleas for members to come forward to take on jobs. No pleas for subs to be paid on time. What to say? The Committee is complete and those that have not paid their subs will not be reading this.

I need to give a big thanks to all those in the background, but especially to my wife Lynn for putting up with my "love affair" with this WP! I now understand why so many authors dedicate their books to their families.

Mixed bag for you in this edition but waiting in the wings is Part II of The Battle of Shrewsbury, scenarios ranging from ancient to modern, reviews, naval computer game, articles done under Op Archive etc, not enough to fill LW 109 so there is still room for more. To give Lone Warrior the spread and balance you must send in the articles.

We must spread the word about the SWA to wargamers everywhere and it is up to us all to do our bit. If you are going to a show and wouldn't mind putting a few flyers around contact Simon Brooks for some. I am busy thanks to Mark Money contacting wargamers- in Australia and through Richard Barbuto those in the USA and Canada plus Simon is recruiting firms to send out our flyers but we do need help from you to pass the message along - "THE SWA LIVES". (gets off his soapbox and wishes you all a Good Night and GOOD SOLOING. Kenn.

With thanks to all those without whose efforts this edition would not be: Production & Distribution: Chris & Jill Constable. Margaret & Tracy. WP Operatives: Ian (Turbo Type) Duncan, Wendy, Janet & Elaine. Envelope Stuffers (& coffee makers): Kirsteen & Lindsi Hart. All those contributors listed above. Op Archives Team: Graham Empson, Nick Timms and Kevin White.
