Note: You need a set of Day of Battle rules to implement these changes--RL. This rule allows armies of varying sizes to fight one another. To give the outnumbered warlord a reason and a chance to fight the good fight. Once a warlord knows the size of his force he may choose a Battle Stance. The stance may be a higher one than his points allow but never a lower one. Ex: Lord Roos has a small army of 29 army points to fight with. He should choose the raid. This would allow him to ambush his opponent in the hopes of delaying the battle long enough to receive all of his honor points. He could however choose probe or invade. Meanwhile his opponent, Duke Charles has a large army made up of 50 army points. The duke has but one choice, invade.
Troop Restriction: These change minimums in the Warlords army. Turns to Victory: The minimum number of turns the warlord must stay on the field and survive to receive his Honor Points. This of course could be modified by the Honor point rules. At this point he may opt to break off the battle or keep on fighting. Each turn he survives after that should net him more honor points. Ambush: This determines the areas in which the warlord may lay ambushes. The total number of ambushes should never exceed his social rank. Flank Attacks: This determines if the warlord may use flank attacks. Back to Knights Round Table List of Issues Back to Master Magazine List © Copyright 2000 by All About Games.
