I wish to give full credit for these armies to Phil Barker, Richard Bodley Scott and WRG's rules set "De Bellis Multitudinis Wargames Rules" (DBM). I do not wish any of my readers to think that I researched all of the armies listed here. The level of play in Day Of Battle is lower than DBM. Figure ratio in DOB is about 1 to 25 and the ground scale is about 10 yards to the inch. These are about half of those used in DBM. This lower level of play allows a great deal more local flavor than DBM does. This shows through in the troop types and particularly the leaders. I feel leaders are the most important piece in a DOB army. Therefore leaders play a very important role in a DOB army. Much more so than ANY other set of rules on the market today. I have found that by halving the forces in the DBM Army List books and using a few modifications and rules which I shall keep private I am able to generate very usable army lists. If you have a favorite army you'd like to see placed here please drop me an e-mail and I'll post it up within a day or so of receiving your e-mail.
