Greetings Milord's and Ladies.

Well summer is gone and fall sets in for a short stay. This is my favorite time of the year. There is plently of time to sit back and relax. There seems to be more time available now to play games and paint figures. Our tuesday night game at The Toy Soldier 3.0 continues to be great fun. We play DOB every other week now.

During the odd week we are trying other games. History Of The World by Avalon Hill is a great favorite. Secondly we have been trying out Englis Civil War with modified DOB rules. It works quite well, we mainly qualify more units as Trained and use the mixed unit rules. We have added gun powder and have started working on artillery rules.

Last week we played a large DOB game. The rules were simple. If you didn't have it painted you couldn't filed it. Each side was 100 points before handicaps. We had French with German Allies pitted against English with Welsh Allies. More on this next issue.

One reader wrote in for a indepth run through of DOB. Alas I didn't have time for it this issue but I will do it in the next.

I really enjoy hearing from the readers so please drop me a line when you can.

And check out MAGWEB, it's worth the money.
