Miniature Reviews

Land Speeder

Skimming into this review direct from the Emperor's Maryland Proving Ground is the newest Land Speeder from Games Workshop! This brutal looking hunk of flying, death?dealing metal is a must have for any serious Space Marine commander and is available from game and hobby stores that are free of mutations! The editor suggests that a monster base will help keep your model upright.

Catachan Jungle Fighters

Marching in behind the Land Speeder comes the best installment of Imperial Guard figures from Games Workshop to date; the Catachan Jungle Fighters! These ferocious ramboesque dudes definitely look the part, sporting bandannas on their heads, flak/utility vests, nastv looking "Rambo" knives, and enough muscles to put Arnold himself to shame! These bad boys are available in a ten figure boxed set and are the first in a series of new Imperial Guard releases (being a shameless fan of the Imperial Guard, Yours Truly plans to add several new squads to his regiment). A must have for any Guard commander!

Champions

Soldiers and Swords Miniatures has provided three blister packs for this humble reviewer, consisting of items from their Champions series. The figures consist of the villains Master Control and Binder (Boo!), Viper Heavy Weapons (Hiss!), and Street Thugs. The Master Control figure with his power armor suit and villainous cloak can make a splendid Inquisitor, while Binder will make a sharp assassin with his body suit and gauntlet weapon. The Viper heavy weapons figure is a menacing powered armor figure with a selection of shoulder mounted remote control weapons; another scary candidate for the Inquisition. The Street Thugs are three typical "human scum" types suitable for any hive gang or pirate band.
