Just wanted to let you know about the standings of the Travelers Cup after six events. Rich Novak has retained his hold on first place so far with a final average of 10.67 points, followed by: Rich Hartley 10.14
Everyone listed has met the qualifier of two circuits visited. Only Scott Jeske, Mike Hart, and Doug Anderson has visited all three circuits and qualify for the 10 bonus points to be awarded at the end of the season. Everyone else that wants those bonus points still need to visit one of the two remaining Ohio Valley tournaments - Capcon or Origins. At the B-Day Bash, and in response to the proposal of choosing the U.S. entry in Ghent, it was suggested that the three regions - Ohio Valley, Chicagoland and the MAC -- use the standings of the Travelers Cup to determine the composition of the Team Tournament entries, beginning this year. This means the top 4 finishers will have the option of forming a team to compete for the chance to represent the U.S. overseas. If one of the top four is unable to attend the Atlanta event, the invitation will be offered to the next highest finisher till the team is complete. Of course, players not invited to play on the "select team" can and are encouraged to form as many teams as possible.
