Doug and Roy went off to the new Michicon in June and ran the big Metal spaceship. Two games of the new layout were received nicely. Jim and Tom did not make the trip (Jim had a vein close down and had sort of a heart attack)...better after about three hours in the hospital and the Angio thing. Even better by that Saturday, but told not to tempt the fates. We lost the Colby Christmas Party at the Pool that week, also -- bad timing all around. We are all planning on rolling into Advance the Colors in September, however. We might be running 4-5 games for the locals. Nemo II, another Foreign Legion escapade and the Johnson Brother's varied stuff (not sure on theirs, yet). We should be at ProCon in October, but I will miss that for a Dad's Weekend with my daughter at her college. Two conventions I miss this year -- arrgh! We have been playing some WW II infantry battles, some Gunfighter Battles and the new Memoir-44 Game that just came out. It's a Battle Cry version of WW II and plays good. Drums 6 will be May 20-21 next year, same location and great GMs. We hope the near and distant conventions keep to their own weeks and months, unlike this year! That's all for now Ð see you in Springfield! -- Colonel Colby, reporting the summer news" Confederation of Friends This Indiana club's specialty is 20mmNapoleonics.
