Richard's Calendar

5-26-95

by Richard Hartley

As of this date I am the gaming coordinator for HMGS as well as COGA. So from now on, instead of writing two different articles, I will write just one for both organizations.

To give both organizations an overview of the others game schedule here are the following schedules. Central Ohio Gaming Association (COGA) has gaming meetings at Rockwell park on the 2nd Saturday of every month starting at 12:0 noon and ending at 9:00 PM. The HMGS-Great Lakes Chapter has a gaming meeting at The Soldiery, Inc. on the 1st Sunday of every month starting at 12:00 noon and ending at 6:00 PM. The annual membership meeting for HMGS is on 26 June at 7:30 PM at the Whetstone Public Library located at 3909 N. High St. in Columbus, Ohio. These meetings arc supplemented by other games held at members homes.

On the 9th of June, Eric Adamaszek will be running his ever popular Desperadoes, a simple, yet fun game of shoot 'em up, with a western setting. The game will be run at my house and will begin around 7:00 PM. Please call me at (614) 860-1198 to place your reservation as space is limited to 10-12 players. On the 10th of June, at COGA, the meeting will feature an Ironclad game run by Gary Spang (the rules arc The Age of Iron) beginning at 11:00 AM and running until it is over or until 9:00 PM. Also Wayne Kayse will run Revised Recon starting at 12:00 noon.

The local conventions coming up this fall are as follows: 9 September, COGACON'95, to be held at the Reformation Lutheran Church, 1355 S. Hamilton Rd. For information or to run a game, contact Gary Spang at 8663242 or myself. October 6, 7, and 8 is Rally Round the Flag '95 to be held at the OSU Student Union located on N. High St. For more information contact Ferkin Doyle at 614-369-0857 or Fax at 363-2236.
