With this issue comes the end of the first year of the Herald. About one quarter of our membership has contributed to the newsletter. The feedback that I have received from Great Lakes has been good, most of problems have been typos. A few people from other HMGS chapters have made comments to me about the newsletter and again, the response has been very positive. I believe that the newsletter reflects the direction of Great Lakes, and a positive reaction to the newsletter says to me; that, we are moving in the right direction. I look forward to future articles and to continued growth in Great Lakes, and I wound like to thank everyone that has contributed to or commented on The Herald.

I would like to apologize to Kent Boelling and Kevin O'Brien, to Kent for mostly inventing his address on the BOD list and to Kevin for omitting him through a misunderstanding.
