by Great Lakes Chairman of the Board Jack E. Shaw, Sr.
The Convention season continues, and by the time you read this, War Party will have passed. I know that those who attended had a good time. The guys in Cincinnati put on two really nice cons. Drums Along the Maumee 5 was a real blast. My Italian Torpedo boat and Italian sailors were in the search for Captain Nemo. It was a good game and near the end of it I was shooting up everything and everyone in sight. I think I caught some sort of fever. Even with a few less garners, Drums 5 was another success. I would like to thank the entire Stooge Crew and Colbys, who worked very hard at making Drums 5 so good. I've been lucky enough to attend all five Drums' and hopefully I'll get to number six. If you've never been to a Drums Along the Maumee, plan now on attending next year. As I write this, Origins is just three weeks away. I'm looking forward to it. I hope to see you there. And don't forget Advance the Colors in September. We still need members to volunteer an hour or two of their time to help at our flagship con. Whether it's between games or just a little rest period, we could use your help. Please contact one of the Board Members and let them know you're willing.
