by Great Lakes Chairman of the Board Jack E. Shaw, Sr.
With the start of a new year, gaming conventions are fast approaching. The first one for me will be Warband in Cincinnati on Feb.28. More information on it is elsewhere in The Herald, as well as information on Drums Along the Maumee 5. My Dog Sled Race game is ready and has been play tested and the Huskies are ready for the trip north to Toledo. It's loosely, very loosely, based on the Ben Hurt Chariot Races. By now, some of you have heard that Advance the Colors is moving. This year, we'll be at the Heritage Center in downtown Springfield, OH, just about 5 to 10 minutes north of the Holiday Inn where we held ATC the past few years. You can find more information on ATC in The Herald and on the website. The Board of Directors needs YOU We need volunteers to help at ATC. Help is needed to set up tables, work the registration desk and work the snack table (yes, this year we'll have our own snacks legally, not like when we were in Sharonville and I had to sell them out of the trunk of my car!). If you can help out in these or other areas, just let one of the Board members know. If several members could give just one hour out of the three days, just look at the help we'd have! I'll be looking forward to hearing from you. So until next time, be safe and good gaming.
