Join the Fellowship of the Roundtable

Scenerios Wanted

by Doug Johnson

In addition to the regular size tables used at our Drums Along the Maumee convention, the hotel has about 25 round tables available. We are looking for Gamemasters who can create a scenario that can be played on a round table. I've noticed sometimes a big, two table game may have all of the action take place on only one corner of the board.

We want to expand the number of games run at our convention without adding the expense of additional table rentals (yes, we are cheap!). If you can design a game or develop a scenario that can be played on a round table we would like you to try it out at Drums Along the Maumee 5. The tables are 5' in diameter. Small scale naval and aircraft games would be perfect for this system. Some of our ideas are, Island-hopping pirates, micro armor, Shipbase III games, or any number of naval or air combat scenarios.

We already have a few "Fellowship" members signed up. My brother Jeff and I will do a 13th Century ship to ship game using 25mm figs. Our "Cog Wars" scenario is based on the "Might and Main" ruleset published by Richard Andrews. This is an opportunity to think "outside the box" and develop a new game. You can send your GM form to Jim Thomasson. I will have special Fellowship badges for all roundtable GMs. Be creative, use what you have and be sure to playtest the scenario!
